WHO WE ARE, THE BIRTH OF GRAN ROMA
In 1990 Giuseppe Peluso, still a student, decided, at his father’s suggestion, to market in his Riva del Garda, roasted hazelnuts, hazelnut kernels and paste from plantations in the Avellino area inherited from his paternal grandfather.
Due to the goodness of these products, in the following years, at the request of loyal customers, other semi-finished products under the Gran Roma brand are added to the price list, gaining increasing appreciation in the market.
Today Gran Roma, propelled by a deep passion for artisanal ice cream, is a dynamic and efficient reality, made up of a staff of highly qualified people, who work daily with the aim of devising high-quality and innovative products, starting from the selection of the best raw materials and cutting-edge production technologies.
Gran Roma, genuinely attentive to the needs and requirements of its customers offers, not only through the product, innovative business solutions, with the ambitious project of containing onerous commercial and distribution costs, turning them into benefits for artisan ice cream makers.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
We have set up a new production unit, enlisting the cooperation of industry technicians with proven experience.
Now we are more than ever able to meet, in a very short time, the most special and difficult requirements; we are able to support our customer at any time in order to improve his product, but above all, together, for the development of new product lines in tune with his demands in order to satisfy an increasingly demanding and attentive consumer.
Our research and development team is continuously searching for selected and certified raw materials in order to be able to guarantee a consistently excellent product while meeting our expected high production standards.
The new headquarters has been built with full respect for the environment with eco-friendly materials. Our business unit makes use of a logistics platform of more than 1,500 square meters and a showroom for training and demonstrations of about 500 square meters that can accommodate more than 40 people.
Ice cream and cold pastry training is one of our strengths in which we believe most for the future of our company; in fact, we are able to organize training days for newcomers and established professionals, either at our headquarters or at our clients’ laboratories.
